If you're referring to this tweak only, you can revert the changes running:

sudo apt-get install --reinstall light-themes

Hope that helps you :D

Feel like making something like this for Rhythmbox/Rhythm-e? :p

:D Fan-bloody-tastic!

I'd recommend grabbing the newest Rhythm-e and compiling from source as the rhythmbox.rc file that the older elementary theme had (It's not in the new elementary releases for some reason!) doesn't theme it properly as it did the earlier rhythm-e builds. :D

The latest Rhythm-e build (which noone has made a PPA of yet or debs) further revamps the interface with a modified Rhythmarty plugin. It looks and feels fantastic, but could really use some theme-love.
--------------------------------------
sudo apt-get build-dep rhythmbox

bzr branch lp:rhythm-e

cd rhythm-e

./autogen.sh

make

sudo make install

Look at the workarounds explained in the description:

"[...] 3 - After applying the hack nautilus looks bad.

Do you have a file named ".gtkrc-2.0" on your home folder ?
If so, just rename it (or delete it) and reapply the theme.
...[]"

Hope that works :)

Nice addition! The path-bar/breadcrumbs are maybe a bit too contrasted, but then again it provides a nice distinction of the elements.

About the installation, you can also just unpack "nautilus.rc" and the folder "nautilus" into $HOME/.gtk/ and put the following two lines in $HOME/.gtkrc-2.0:

include "/usr/share/themes/Ambiance/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
include ".gtk/nautilus.rc"

No need to mess with system files that way and the change won't be overwritten by updated packages :)

By the way, you should build an independent theme, just to save time to users. Additionally, the root instalation only affects nautilus in root mode. In order to do the regular installation it is necessary to copy the mod in ~/.themes/ambiance
See ya!

Thought about that too...
I've started to build a modified version of the Ambiance theme, that applies this style system-wide...

For me, the folder to open was /usr/share/themes/Ambiance/gtk-2.0/apps . And I prefere gksudo over sudo for graphical applications, because the later "can" crash your system.

Thanks for this .rc! :-)
